A new reissue series from Superior Viaduct focuses on the sublime grooves of legendary New York punk-funk band Liquid Liquid. Before forming Liquid Liquid as an entity unto itself, the band’s members played in two different groups called Liquid Idiot and Idiot Orchestra. This self-titled split record collects the work of these two no wave ensembles, which were more experimental and less groove-led than what Liquid Liquid would set their minds to further down the line.
