Thighpaulsandra returns with his seventh album – his first since the Leopore Extrusion in 2006, and his first for Editions Mego. The Golden Communion sees Thighpaulsandra enlist a cast of guest collaborators from some of the bands that he’s worked with in the past (which includes Coil, Spiritualized, and Julian Cope) to bring his tangled, experimental approach towards songwriting to life. Although there are only 10 tracks on here, the spacey, elongated nature of them means the album clocks in at over two hours long in total, covering everything from orchestral compositions to glam rock to primitive electronics in that time.
