A digger’s dream comes true via JAKARTA spin-off Habibi Funk with this stunning 7” reissue of the debut and only record recorded by Tunisian Funk outfit Dalton. Active around the Tunisian capital Tunis in the late ‘60s, the quintet took a great deal of influence from the funk / soul styles emanating from America during that time, infused with traditional North African hues making for an exotic mix. The A-side houses the lively 3/4 strut of ‘Alech’ – a highly contagious offering with a mighty horn section; whilst on the flip, find the sultrier, percussively rich ‘Soul Brother’.
