The master himself Larry Heard obliges us with this crucial, DJ-friendly triple pack reissue of the seminal ‘88 Fingers Inc LP Another Side via his Alleviated Records imprint. For the uninitiated, Another Side is THE definitive Chicago house LP, from house music originals Larry Heard (aka Mr Fingers), Robert Owens and Ron Wilson that collates a string of timeless classics from the late 80’s golden era; for the initiated, you’ll already know the weight of this landmark release. There’s literally too many to pick from here, but ageless classics such as the deep, soulful ‘Never More Lonely’, moodier, reverb-drenched anthem ‘Mystery Of Love’ and of course the spine-chilling, immortal house number ‘Can You Feel It’ will only get better with age. Also, improving on some of the questionable late 80s Chicago house vinyl quality, Mr Heard has had this collection beautifully remastered for our listening pleasure, making it indispensable.
