Danish ambient/drone artist Jannick Schou returns with his second album for Experimedia. Fabrik goes beyond the beatless sound designs of his 2011 debut The Act of Shimmering and delves further into the deep-set techno that Schou explored on his self-released Fasjil EP in 2013. Fabrik features dystopic, droning techno (‘Pansermusling’), dubby rhythms (‘Kollaps’), and corroded industrial music (‘Transmission’), but there’s also a sense of beauty that starts to surface in the album’s second half.
