A stunning and vitally necessary 180g reissue of the now revered debut LP from the pioneering electronic double act Orbital. Originally released in ‘91, the commonly known ‘Green Album’ manages to capture the mood, feelings and (groggy) memories of a generation, with brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll crafting stadium-ready, techno anthems that are now rooted into the very foundations of the early ‘90’s acid-house zeitgeist. Yet far from a throwback, these cuts are still relevant today; with the zapping lasers of opener ‘Moebius’ and the undeniably funky clang/acid hybridism of ‘Fahrenheit 303’. Also present is a raucous live rendition of popular anthem ‘Chime’, followed by the spine-tingling melodic essence of ‘Belfast’ – a monumental moment of true techno elation.
