German artist and long-term Raster Noton artist Grischa Lichtenberger has previously worked with such RN luminaries as Mika Vainio and Emptyset while releasing his debut LP for the label, and IV [Inertia] in 2012. Next record LA DEMEURE; Il Y A Péril En La Demeure is his most ambitious project yet. The first in a five LP series, La Demeure is inspired by “a symbol of isolation and privacy: the joy of being withdrawn from economic, temporal or social restraints in the confinement of a home.” Away from the conceptual rhetoric, Lichtenberg delivers on the heavyweight electronics bristling with invention, intricate Autechre-isms and beautifully realized technoid paranoia that nods to current-day PAN worlds.
