Super Rhythm Trax continue to pay homage to the old school, chasing up very strong outings from DMX Trax and Mike Ash with G23’s Mongrando Mongrel Trax EP. A-sider ‘Kidding Kids’ rolls out a powerhouse blend of lively ‘ardcore breaks and doom-laden synth chords, all propped by a tyrannical acid riff. B-side, ‘Mountain Acid’ distils the drums down to a tough 4/4 stomp, flaunting another piercing, eye-watering 303 vein and a similar sense of dread, whilst label alumni Jerome Hill lets loose on a Chi-town Jakbeat re-rub of the same that’s tough as nails.
