The story goes that in the middle of the 1970s, Swiss-born and Berlin-based composer Thomas Fehlmann attended a lecture by Conrad Schnitzler at Hamburg University where the seminal German experimentalist spoke about the wider definitions and meanings that can come under the term “art”. This seminar was integral to Fehlmann’s decision to pursue music. Fast-forward almost 40 years and the fifth chapter in Bureau B's Kollektion series arrives in the form of Fehlmann’s celebration of Schnitzler’s work. 16 of his left-field compositions - largely unedited - sewed together to create the optimum journey, curated by his keenest student.
