Slamming rave revivalism for the 2015 crew from Hotflush’s Auden, landing here with his third EP for Scuba’s label. The title track, apparently, takes its cues as a desire for the golden days of UK hardcore; its chewy broken beat, mangled ‘about love… give into hunger’ vocal sample and detuned bass riff yearn for ’92. Elsewhere, ‘Simmer Down’ is a prime exercise in Berlin techno swung left and strangely off-grid, while label-mate Alan Fitzpatrick takes on remix duties and the EP closes with the rebooted Selected Ambient Works tones of ‘Sewer System’.
