Another well executed act of curation by the Diagonal heads Powell and Jamie Williams: the label welcomes Stephen Sharp and Roc Jimenez de Cisneros with their EVOL project. Having released on imprints such as Editions Mego, Presto!? since the late 90s, the duo became known for their rave- and acid-infused electronics experiments. This two-track 12’’ makes them blend in perfectly with the rest of the roster. The A side turns out to be way more rhythmical than its structure would suggest, and the B side evolves its oscillations on a grounding bass drone.
