Danish producer Taragana Pyjarama gets the remix treatment: Following his debut album on Kompakt, his Ariel EP saw him sign to Matador sub label True Panther Sounds who have lined up Round, Sau Poler and duo Olde Gods, both from Barcelona, Portuguese producer IVVVO and fellow Danish men Kentish Slash Demon for reworks. Keeping a bigger chunk of Taragana Pyjarama’s vocals, Olde Gods come up with a melodic deep house version of ‘Ariel’, whereas Kenton Slash Demon capture ‘Together’s’ mesmerising atmosphere in the form of fragmented breakbeats. One of the highlights is IVVVO’s reimagined ‘Ber’: the Opal Tapes and Crème Organization affiliate grounds the multi-layered, glistening harp arpeggios and melancholic harmonies with weighty occult drumming.
