Described by the label as "weird & mysterious offworld acid" Movements in Acid / Battle Axe is the debut recordings of the previously unknown Death-Tech Thunder. Little is known about the artist or label other than the tracks were mastered from tape with no edits. However none of that matters really; what's important is the sounds captured within the 7" inches of black plastic they have been scratched into, and luckily the sounds are just the right mixed blend of low slung hip-hop and rusty acid flashbacks to satisfy the most hungry acid heads. Opener BATTLE AXE sounds like a classic Votel Twisted Nerve number but put through a blender and left to dry out in the morning sun while Death-Tech Thunder is a low-fi rendition of a spun out acid techno roller with extra saturation. Elsewhere on the digital EP, End Boss Acid crawls through the murk with an aching emptiness cascading between each stumbling beat. Side Chain Meltdown goes overdrive on the 303's in a hip-hop/punk almost-tribute to Lorenzo Senni's post-trance tinnitus before the last three numbers roll out more of the same, 200 press only so grab one quick.
