For their Highlife World Series, Auntie Flo and Esa William’s have so far traveled to Cuba, Kenya and Uganda to work with local musicians. Showcasing original productions, the money earned from the records will fund further music making in the respective countries. In this second part of the series, the duo present the vibrant works of Nairobi seven-piece Sarabi and Benga specialist Makadem: 'Koko’s Vibration’ adds a moving bass to its vivid pattern of Kalapapla drums, Mbumbumbu bass drums, acoustic guitars and congas. Makadem fuses African traditional percussion with electric bass and keys. Auntie Flo and Esa William’s collaborative effort comes to shine in the different versions and (re)mixes.
