Having spent a lifetime collaborating with the giants of the classical world ranging from Luciano Pavarotti to Sir James Galway and putting out 1981’s seminal Nommos LP- Craig Leon clashes the two universes he is so accustomed to on this record which was commissioned initially by Sony Music. Bach To Moog (get it?) sees Leon reinterpret the works of Johann Sebastian Bach using a modular synthesiser. Since its release, Leon has managed to turn this mammoth project into a stirring live performance. While it might sound like a left-field project for the few- there is a universal quality to Bach To Moog which makes it a true musical triumph.
