Bleep

Georgia is a twelve track affair of spiky indie jams and glacial electronic synth pop that showcases a vast array of talent for the young multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter. Starting off with a synth wave intro with glitchy electronics the LP takes no prisoners as it transports itself into the stadium-sized Kombine which is sure to bury itself in your mind for hours after the track winds to a close. Be Ache takes a zipping acid line at its core with a, dare we say, dubstep beat to good effect. Nothing Solutions explores a more darker territory with more zipping acid bass lines under the hooks and melodies while the second half of the album continues to flirt with underground dance music styles but all in keeping with a strict pop sensibility. All in all, a great modern electronic pop LP with enough experimentation to keep you interested through to the end with ease. Props to Domino, Georgia is a great indie record that takes in a vast array of styles to satisfying effect, if you liked the more hands-in-the-air Jamie xx or wonder what a Julia Holter record played in a club set sounds like you are in for a treat.
