UK producer Ipman makes his debut on revered Bristol dubstep dons Tectonic. Embracing the dark end of UK bass culture that the label has come to define, his first single brings the heat with 'Regicide', a shadowy 140bpm cut toying with the heady space where rolling jungle basslines merge with transcendental techno. Next up 'Ghostrunner', which pegs us down a notch at 128 bmp and sees erratic synths vibrate against a chainsaw howl before the bass drops, emerging from the darkness dragging brain rattling drum patterns to the fore. Ipman will drop his debut album on Tectonic later this year, get ahead of the hype with his debut single.
