Based on his 2013 LP Joke In The Hole, a host of figures stepped forward to remix cuts by Eric Copeland for this special offshoot release on DFA. Panda Bear stepped up to the pulpit for a characteristically bold and bright take on Cheap Treat. The sleazy DFA sound is realised when Larry Gus turns Grapes in to an almost Balearic sounding number complete with fading vocal sample and shaker sound. King Britt then readopts the Fhloston Paradigm alias for a rare 9-minute remix of Cheap Treat (very different to Panda’s interpretation) before the release ends up in the experienced hands of Naples for a stellar mix of Bobby Strong.
