Following the incredible Deepchord LP delivered in 2014, Astral Industries are back to blow our minds once again with a stunning, live recording of Kompakt co-founder Wolfgang Voigt presented via this beautiful 180g double pack. The recording, taken from the Church Of St John-at-Hackney, is a performance of the artist’s ongoing Rückverzauberung concept series that easily evokes the legendary ambient material produced as Gas; truly immersive, enveloping sound design. Through use of shifting textures and repetition, Voigt is able to induce a state of pure mind-departure, captivating every receptor of our cortex for a paralyzing experience.
