Domino proudly present this debut long-player from Sam Dust, AKA LA PRIEST. Having circulated around the UK’s dreamy indie scene for some time as a member of Late Of The Pier, Dust took almost half a decade away from the spotlight after the group disbanded to pin down this singular and idiosyncratic soundscape. On Inji, cuts like Oino and Occasion work like a hybrid of LOTP’s inimitable spirit and Dust’s reawakened songwriting flair. Existing somewhere between Dev Hynes and Arthur Russell, Inji glows with a kaleidoscopic technicolor. Playful, measured and distinctive.
