Their 2001 LP was widely praised and garnered Jackson a shot at doing a DJ-Kicks mix the following year. Going down the tracklist reads like a what’s-hot for turn-of-the-century New York City club music. The Rapture, Metro Area, Zongamin, Maurice Fulton and more all turn up across this 23-track selection. While the mention of some of those artists will bring a wistful smile to the face of contemporary musos, one spin of this thing is all that’s needed to remind you of just how good the music was.
