xxxy (aka Rupert Taylor) returns to his stable at Rinse with this concise and well-calculated 3-tracker which can - only very broadly - come under the banner of bass music. The title track clocks in at just over 7 minutes and uses airtight drum patterns and swarming bass throbs to maximum effect. 12049 brings Taylor’s handle of subtle and effective percussion to the fore for a reverb-heavy builder. The release is capped off with Over Peover where a bass-weight climax takes centre stage. Another triple-header of esoteric floor-fillers for the Rinse shelves.
