German composer Volker Bertelmann, aka Hauschka follows up on 2014’s Abandoned City with this EP for Temporary Residence. Split in two, the EP contains new material dating back to the composition and recording sessions for Abandoned City and it also comes complete with two special remixes from that precursor release. Fellow composer Eluvium takes on Stromness for a fuzzy and epic rework. The previously unheard material follows on from the stark and intriguing works of Abandoned City, industrially-inspired compositions which sit somewhere between ambient-neoclassical and high-concept sound art.
