UK-born and Berlin-based producer Benjamin Thomas resumes his underground sound endeavours as BNJMN with the second release on his personal Brack imprint. ‘Chromed’ continues in the vein of 2015’s Brack001, further shaping his aesthetic and bringing out its shiny nuances. The title track comes as a stripped back love declaration to the kick drum, giving us a full-bodied taste of the percussive element over pitch-bending sounds. ‘Sallow’ adheres to harmonic rules and shuffling rhythms, and is yet idiosyncratic. ‘Broil’ constitutes the EP's highlight with its texture-emphasing nature, melodic chords merely lurking through the surface.
