Metz-based Chapelier Fou unveils this single for Ici D’ailleurs right in time for the hazy summertime Sunday mornings. By melding together the tropes of neoclassical composition with experimental electronica, the sound of Fuses is a cinematic and colourful one. At some points the composition is bouncing with perky brightness and at other moments the dramatic strings add an air of unsettling energy. With a string of remixes backing up the single and an LP on the way in September, this curious cocktail of sound is worth listening in on.
