Originally released in 1985, This Nation’s Saving Grace is possibly The Fall’s most celebrated records. In the landscape of contemporary music in the 1980s, the album blew the monotonous sound of reproduced guitar music out of the water with a primal, unkempt energy that was unlike anything else surrounding it. For this expanded edition, a number of cuts included on Schtick - Yarbles Revisited are included. Most notably, the inimitable sound of The Fall in session for John Peel is on the track-list. It was on sessions like this where the unplanned brilliance of the outfit came to the fore.
