You might have missed it but multidisciplinary luminary Theo Parrish spent a portion of last summer touring the continent with an outfit known as The Unit. Parrish took hold of keys and vocals while lead vocals were taken on by Detroit vocalist Ideeyah. Complete with a full band and a pair of dancers, the group played a string of shows that explored the dreamier, more soulful districts of Parrish’s output. These recordings come straight from those blink-and-you’ll-miss-them performances. A cover of Skye’s Ain’t No Need and a reinterpretation of Parrish’s Walking Thru The Sky from his ’96 Baby Steps EP.
