Galcher Lustwerk launches his new imprint Lustwerk Music: following efforts for White Material, Tsuba and an EP under his Road Hog moniker, Parlay is the first in a series of two EPs that sees the individual release of six cuts from 100% Galcher, each including a dub version. Two years on from the mixtape that started his legacy, Parlay still works in favour of his reputation as an exceptionally talented producer. Spiritual sotto-voce monologues create the narratives of ‘Parlay’ and ‘Dockside’, told on a bed of hazy electric piano chords. The wonderfully biding atmosphere of ‘Kaint’ exudes a rare tranquility, picked up by the dub version of the title track, its notion of slapping bass shining through without the vocals.
