Brooklyn-based White Material affiliate Galcher Lustwerk strips out four more cuts from his celebrated 2013 Blowing Up The Workshop live mix for the second EP on his recently minted imprint Lustwerk Music. First up is the standout, haze-coated club cut ‘I Neva Seen’, which plods along on its own accord with Lustwerk’s now trademark mellow vocal tales on top; whilst the ‘Dub’ version allows us to bath in the deep, smudgy chords in their rawest form. Over on the B-side, ‘Stem’ is a beatless, contemplative number that breaks things up, however ‘Cricket’s Theme’ flips back into club mode, laying down catchy minimalist percussion, scalding synth chords and a male/female vocal that’ll be in everyone’s heads for weeks.
