London drum’n’bass producer Jonathan Fogel drops his third EP for dBridge’s Exit Records as Stray. Following 2013's Matchsticks EP and 2014’s Chatterbox EP, Paradise sees the Ivy Lab member dive into the tradition of hip hop, a route he has taken as a starting point on previous work before. Refining the style of his free mixtape Since You’ve Been Gone, the EP is a collection of heavy-footed soundscapes, with pitch-bent vocal samples elevating his productions to new heights, and howling sirens introducing an element of urgency; its accentuated rhythms are only broken by the frantic jungle breakbeats of ‘Queen’ and the ‘Without U’.
