Cosmonauts’ Paul Sidoli and Medicine 8’s Luke May inaugurate their Monday Club project with the blissfully nostalgic single Lewis. Marking the launch of the new Muzik Box imprint (headed by London duo Punks Jump Up), ‘Lewis' takes us right back to the golden era of house music: the early 90s are reincarnated in those sustained, high frequency single note string sounds, tension-building claps and trademark Korg M1 organ bass, making an appearance half way through. The dub version serves up a kneading bass pattern, and London-based producer Martin Dubka has the original’s synth sequence ascend, giving the track a more shuffling feel in his remix.
