As Sydrome teased earlier in the year, this solo outing from Ital is a trance-inducing whirlpool centred around a grinding 4/4 regime. From simple, mantra-like, beats Ital constructs spiralling techno floor-rattlers where distance is left between the beats and the melody to create listening experiences which are just as party-starting as they are creakingly unsettling. Canker Sore embodies this razor-sharp focus immaculately before The Citadel relieves the pressure for a swathing ambient finale.
