London imprint Berceuse Heroique continues its singular reign of terror in clubs the world over with a typically torturous release from Italian producer EMG of Experiential Learning Records. From the very off on the title cut, nothing is held back, with the Italian deluging a torrent of coarse drum work and saw-tooth acid veins with spliced dialogue samples – real paint thinner this. Next, ‘Exosphere’ retains some of its predecessor’s malice, yet in a more subdued manner with the acid lines taking center stage and the drums reduced to a tight 4/4 kick, whilst closer ‘Animal’ is a jumbled array of clattering hardware discharge which again is not for the feint hearted. As always with this imprint, move quickly.
