The self-titled debut album from post-punk band Le Tigre, originally released in 1999 gets a reissue via Wiiija. Having been described as a band never have meant to be and a collection of underground electro-feminist performance artists, the trio used to dress in matching costumes and performed in front of a slideshow of images that accompanied each song to support its politics. On their self-titled first full-length, they rally against pop culture, celebrate like-minded and band-inspirational artists, extoll and spit bile at New York City, sing about robots and dancing alone, and flex their muscles at crafting sound-collages.
