Following up his leftfield 10” release of 2014, Gunnar Haslam returns to the New York institution Mister Saturday Night with his first 12” for the imprint. Contrary to the styles exhibited on his debut, The Margarenten EP is rooted in hazy, 4 to the floor groove; beginning with the fogged, progressive throb of ‘Poshlot’, chased by the groovier, acidic party starting flavour of the title cut. On the flipside, Haslam plunges down to the sub-aquatic dub textures of ‘Replacement’ where the blunted kick is submerged in a blanket of late night synth haze.
