There has been little in the way of output from Taragana Pyjarama (aka Nick Kold Eriksen) since his quietly released debut album for Kompakt in 2012. This EP for True Panther marks the start of an exciting new sound for the producer. Teetering more towards the terrain of electronic experimental pop, his use of warped vocal melody on tracks like Ber and the titular cut evoke the sounds of Burial, Caribou and even Jamie xx. His grounding in the sounds of club music shines through on Together when a dismantled euphoric chord sequence plays out with cloudy vocals and submerged production.
