London-based Italian duo Terron return to Young Turk splinter imprint Whities with their second, highly limited offering of pounding dub techno. Off first, the metallic clangs, dominant synth lines and hammering kick ‘No. 29 Pareto 20/80’ sit close to some of Levon Vincent’s holiest creations, yet ‘No. 33.1 The Game’s Ouverture’ reaches deeper territory with its spaced out intro and smothered groove. On the flip we’re offered a two-part epic; ‘No. 33.2 Hawk (Part 1)’ builds the atmosphere, gradually and subtly adding fine metallic detailing to the hulking kick drum, whereas ‘No. 34 Dove (Part 2)’ maintains the tension, swelling to an emotional finale with all guns blazing.
