The second instalment of Kompakt’s Pop Ambient series curated by one of the label’s founders Wolfgang Voigt. The series caters to an aesthetic which sits somewhere between field recording experiments and synth pop, and saw it’s first release coming from Leandro Fresco with El Reino Invisable. This second instalment to the series sees the young German producer Thore Pfeiffer with the release Im Blickfeld. A lovingly crafted collection of woozy, folkish tracks with highlights being the clattering guitar strumming and ambient electronics in ‘Nicht Genug’ and mellow loops in ‘Kolibri’.
