New Zealand outfit Electric Wire Hustle enlist a range of diverse artists for a series of remixes of their Somethink Sounds LP Love Can Prevail. First up is Osunlade under his Yoruba Soul moniker, here the American artist injects the impassioned ‘By & Bye’ with a stomping house beat without loosing the live instrumentation feel of the original, whilst Flako enriches ‘Bottom Line’ with a flute for an altogether brighter feel. Next, Seven David Jr’s remix is a tale of two parts, leading off first with a his trademark loose house bump before stepping back and letting the drums and shakers do their thing for a breathless finale. Lastly, Eliphino delivers a peak-time bomb with his piano heavy reinterpretation of ‘If These Are The Last Days’ followed by Computer Jay’s searing, cosmic remix of ‘Look In The Sky’.
