The 20th anniversary release for Editions Mego with this reissue of two milestone releases which got the label’s aesthetic going. Fridge Trax Plus brings together the first Mego release Fridge Trax (1995) and the full length album that followed: Live And Final Fridge. General Magic & Pita are the label’s founders Peter Rehberg (Pita) and Andreas Pieper and Ramon Bauer (General Magic). The tracks on this awe-inspiring release form an incredible fusion of ambient and rhythmic sonic experiments, with the sounds from which these tracks derive coming out of recordings made from inside a fridge, documenting the icy cubicle’s hums, buzzes and clicks.
