Vintage Violence is the debut LP from Welsh luminary and experimental Velvet Underground mastermind John Cale. First dropping in 1970, the record showcased Cale’s brand of starry-eyed baroque pop and concept-heavy artistic songwriting but there was an unmistakable sense of the avant-garde in all of the tracks. From its release, it always seemed that Vintage Violence would go on to become one of the most groundbreaking and important records of its time and that prediction was by no means false. Lovingly pressed on to 180g vinyl by Music On Vinyl, this is a genuine piece of alternative music history.
