Bristol powerhouse Invada present the dystopian soundtrack to Ex Machina. Composed by Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury the ten tracks drift between floating ambient synth works and distinctly eerie, sci-fi feeling tonal studies. Live drums, carefully measured guitar work and electronics combine to capture the essence of new age music a la Pauline Anna Strom but with the dark, futuristic atmosphere of Morphosis. This is one of the best film soundtracks we’ve heard since Under the Skin. Check ‘The Test Worked’ and ‘Falling’ and praise the gods for epic sound design.
