Sound Obsession is an imprint run by producer Kirk Degiorgio and artist manager Mark Melton. Like many labels, they have used their powers to reissue records that might get overlooked in the modern day. Suspense by Bernard Fevre is one of 3 albums they are repressing by the French electronic luminary. Now celebrating its 40th anniversary, the LP went unnoticed for many years until British juggernauts like Aphex Twin and Chemical Brothers found it and brought it in to the light. The compositions are forward-thinking, imaginative and wonderfully ahead of their time. From the spooky cinematic atmosphere of Mister Green to the pared-down sonic trickery of Path Of Tomorrow, it is an electronic opus that certainly deserves its praise.
