Restore was Marc Houle’s debut on Richie Hawtin’s Minus label in 2004, which now presents the release with a new livery of remix artists. Restored, the remix album, follows the Canadian producer’s two full-lengths ‘Cola Party’ and ‘Undercover’ on his own Items & Things imprint. Dutch veteran Joris Voorn takes on ‘Borrowed Gear’ and delivers a subdued version starring subtle, yet concise percussion work. Miami’s Danny Daze opts for a more heavy-footed synth interpretation of ‘Talk To Me Baby’, and French producer Julian Jeweil turns ‘Coar’ into a peak-time banger.
