Big Dada present a Double A-side single by UK Hip Hop legend Roots Manuva, featuring production by two other musical legends in their own right, Four Tet and Machinedrum. Facety (a patois term for cheek or rudeness) knocks like the best of Roots’ cuts do. A mantra-like sample of cockney rhyming slang staple “boat race” provides the chorus for a lyrical masterclass against a thunderous beat brought forward by Four Tet. Machinedrum provides an equally distinctive blueprint for Roots to work on in the form of Like A Drum. This release also comes with the instrumentals where the intricacies and details of both producers’ work can be fully appreciated.
