Different Circles slides back into view with their hugely anticipated second drop, this time from label-head Logos. Last seen on Tectonic with the 'ardkore and grime-indebted sounds of 'Proto' (produced in collab with Different Circles co-owner Mumdance) here he presents a hardstyle update of his lost in space anti-gravity grime. Opener and recent Mumdance Fabric mix highlight 'Glass' rotates into view on the A with a tough bassline rallied up against brutal sci-fi synths and trademark Logos smashed glass cascading throughout before ghost mentasms start to overtake the track with an ambient darkside flex recalling Lee Gamble's jungle diversions. Next up is a curveball in the form of Italian noise tech/post-tech producer Shapednoise making an appearance on remix duties, he takes the original and swallows it with a mouth full of broken glass for 4 and a half minutes before stretching out the high-end out into an oblivion of howling voices and haunted airspace. On the flip side Logos drops the Blade Runner blues of 'No Skyline' which could almost be seen as an ode to the claustrophobic inner city ambiance of the East London streets in which its roots lie before things end on 'Savannah Overlord' a track built out of tense beauty with the threat of something darker rearing its head but at the same time constantly being recoiled. A track loaded with feelings of resilience to submission that will never quite let itself break out. One of the most crucial drops from Logos yet, blink and you missed it.
