Bristol-based monolith Chris Jarman aka Kamikaze Space Programme lands on Viennese electro label trust with an EP of fiery bass music. Following his percussion-focussed Concrete Musique EP for Luke Slater's Mote Evolver imprint, Stokes Croft puts its emphasis clearly on the subs. Ninja Tune's Emika stars on ‘Choke’ with her chilling vocals, whereas ‘Clapper’ makes due with its frantic rhythms. Jarman appoints a textured sound design, the frayed bass notes shooting on full power throughout, becoming reminiscent of old school 303 magic.
