Bleep

Inspired by much of the prog-rock of the 1970’s Radiophonic Workshop member Peter Howell brought through this 6-track opus of synthesised electronica mixed with the sprawling explorational sentiments of cosmic progressive guitar music. Even the more built-for-TV sounds of cuts like Colour Rinse and Wind In The Wires are clearly of a time where soundtracking required creativity and innovation. The release bows out on the (aptly titled) The Astronauts where a bionic crescendo is built upon epic synths and extraterrestrial narratives. Another blinding chapter in the timeline of the BBC’s Radiophonic Workshop.
