Made up of live recordings that were found and compiled by Buckley’s mother, Mystery White Boy is a live album like no other. The recordings came from the shows Buckley performed to support Grace and they really are archetypal examples of his style as a songwriter and performer. Jumping from the eerie balladry of Moodswing Whiskey and The Man That Got Away to the weightier sounds tracks like Mojo Pin and Eternal Life, this is Jeff Buckley on the live platform sounding unshackled for some of his last ever shows. The pathos of Hallelujah is made all the more poignant knowing that Buckley would die some 12 months after.
