One of Lou Reed’s mid-period masterpieces gets reissued by RCA. 1976’s Coney Island Baby is known as one of the late great’s most romantic albums. Infatuated at the time by his muse Rachel, Reed penned these eight tracks in her honour. Some of them are classic Reedian rock ‘n’ roll struts (‘Ooohhh Baby’, ‘Charley’s Girl’), others are woozy doo-wop-inspired croons (the title track, ‘Nobody’s Business’), and every single one of them is worthy of a seat at Reed’s top table.
